nail trimming and filing When possible, every dog gets a nail trim and file before it's bath. This helps prevent scratches on your hardwood flooring, snagging on carpet, and maintains proper confirmation of the foot and lower leg of your pet. Nothing makes Tiffany happier than seeing a dog walk more comfortably on properly trimmed nails! Some dogs do not appreciate nail care as much as we do but if it can be done without over-stressing your pet, Tiffany will give your dog the nail care it needs. NOTE: Painted or capped nails are $10 extra charge
ear care Many long coated breeds grow hair out of their ear canal. This can create a soggy, humid environment in the ear which can lead to other problems. Tiffany uses ear powder to help remove ear hair before giving the ear a good rinse and wash in the bath.
fluff dry (if applicable) Nothing brings out the soft, fluffy goodness of your pet's coat like a good fluff dry! Each pet is gently brush-dried to help separate and dry the hair in a way that bring out softness and fluff.
gland expression Seeing your dog doing the Butt-Scoot-Boogie? In the bathtub, Tiffany gently expresses the anal glands of your dog externally. If the glands are full and do not respond to reasonably applied pressure a note will be included in your pet's report card recommending the help of a vet.
baths When your pet experiences Grooming At Tiffany's, it will be lavished with top of the line shampoos and conditioners. These products are natural/biodegradable and leave your pet smelling and feeling wonderful. A variety of formulas are kept on hand for your pet's special needs, be it sensitive skin, oily coat, tangles, dry coat, and most other common problems.
coat care Ah, the look of a properly brushed coat!! Tangles and mats are removed from your dog with care and patience. Excessively matted coats receive an extra charge for dematting unless the owner opts for a complete shavedown. (in this case the dematting is included in the price of the Full Groom).
bandanas and bows If imagining your darling dog walking out of the grooming van smelling and looking fantastic makes you cry tears of joy...wait until you see the embellishments we have in store for you! Your dog will come out with a bandana or bows, strutting with all of his or her cuteness and charm!
premium care products You are paying good money to treat your dog well and to have your pet lavished by it's groomer. She in turn uses only the best for them. Say goodbye to cheap, harsh detergents and chemicals and hello to natural and biodegradable products formulated specifically for their coat type. Premium quality shampoos, conditioners, and detanglers are used to get clients clean and smelling good! A special tearless facial product is used to get rid of dog mouth area odor and tear stains at NO extra charge.
grooming and breed cuts The Atlanta Academy of Pet Design trains groomers in the art of breed cuts and shave downs. So, no matter what your breed or personal taste I've got the groom for you. Every dogs receive sanitary trims (short hair breeds generally don't need it) during it's groom unless owner opts out. Sanitary trims keep feces and urine off of hair and rids the very sensitive areas of hair so that matting and detangling does not cause stress to your pet. Sanitary trims include the anal area, the belly/inside flank area, and the sheath area.
massaging All dogs receive a light massage from Tiffany as they are bathed or on the table. This helps the pet relax and facilitates trust between the dog and the groomer. It does wonders on both ends! Sometimes when the squirmies and jitters get to your pet, a break and a few minutes of relaxation help clear the mind of the dog and the groomer and enable both to think in a more positive, productive manner.
Pad care Unless upon request by the owner, each dog has the hair trimmed on it's pads by gently using a #40 clipper blade. The pads are inspected for mats or other issues and any matting is removed. Trimming the pad hair helps keep pets from tracking in moisture, mud, and debris from the yard and helps the dog cool itself through it's skin. If you have hardwood or tile flooring, this will also help to prevent slipping and sliding (especially important in older dogs!!!).
Sanitary trims Owners may opt for tunnel belly and/or poop shoot trim at no extra charge! These are simply extensions of the normal sanitary trims for dogs with tangle issue, etc. and do not take from the overall appearance of your clip.
cologne / perfume A spritz of scent on your dog is free of charge, but is only applied by request. The reason for this is because so many people and pets are sensitive to the smells of these products. I'm happy to use these products on your dog but I will not do it without regard to you and your dog's comfort.
deshedding (fees apply) Upon Request, your dog will receive extra attention to help combat shedding issues. Using special tools, Tiffany will work on your dog's coat until the loose coat is all but completely eliminated. You will notice a difference in the amount of shedding you see on your dog. A regular routine of deshedding services will make a huge difference in pet hair issues around the home.
